Hi! I'm Darcie Murphy
Final-year Computer Science student with experience in frontend development, UI implementation, and technical communication. Completed a year-long internship at Proofpoint and currently co-host and edit a tech-focused podcast.

About Me.
I’m a final-year Computer Science student specialising in software development, UI implementation, and clean, maintainable code. I completed a full-year Software Engineering internship at Proofpoint, where I gained hands-on experience working across both engineering and project management functions.
Through my academic work, internship, and personal projects, I’ve developed a strong foundation in frontend development, problem-solving, and technical communication. I enjoy building functional, user-focused applications and continuously expanding my skill set through courses and self-directed learning.
Alongside my technical work, I co-host and edit a weekly tech podcast, where I plan episodes, explain technical concepts, and manage audio/video production using industry-standard tools.

My Projects
1 / Final Year Project — GSR Meditation Sensor App
In Progress (2025)
Developing a mobile application that integrates a Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) sensor to support meditation, stress monitoring, and guided relaxation. The app captures physiological signals, visualises them in real time, and provides feedback to help users understand their stress response.
Current Focus:
-
Designing and documenting system requirements
-
Bluetooth communication with the GSR sensor
-
UI/UX prototyping
-
Building real-time data visualisation components
-
Implementing core app functionality using Android Studio and Java
-
Testing, evaluation, and performance analysis
-
Skills: Mobile development, sensor integration, data visualisation, real-time systems, UI/UX design, software architecture
2 / Project Management App (React)
A simple project-tracking interface built with React. Allows users to create tasks, track progress, and organise work with a clean component-based structure.
Tech & Skills: React, JavaScript, component architecture, state management, UI logic
Role: Developer
